I've always cleaned mine with lemon sunlight, and never had fogging problems

Which brand of visor do you use? Possibly look at a brand that sits further out from your face and doesn't go over your nose.

Pledge. Trust me, it works. I use it on my visor before every game. Also, learn how to breathe with one on. It makes a huge difference if you do.

+2. Let it sit for a few minutes and then buff out, until clear, with a towel (don't scrub and remove the shampoo).

A good back of the throat loogie, shampoo works better but sometimes you have to work with what's on the bench.

What do you mean 'buff out?'
Also, is it worth the money to buy an Oakley visor vs the Itech ones?

I just rub it in and then use hot water to take off the residue and it works fine

imo, they are both equally fine at protecting your face. i think it comes down to aesthetics and budget.

I've used both, and I'm a much bigger fan of the iTech (well Bauer now) setup. The fact that you can just pop out and replace the visor is such a nice thing to have.

Just give it a nudge up when you come on the bench, when I step back on the ice it usually clears up pretty quick for me. I find wiping it during a game makes it worse. This is just some rinks too, not really a big issue for me.

I would not rinse it with hot water. You don't want to dilute the soap. You want to get it on there and polish it until it is clear and forms a clearcoat anti moisture barrier.

Yeah, I tried to shove it up when I got to the bench, but it didn't help.
I'll try the shampoo way, and will buy a bottle of anti-fog spray just in case.

I have an Oakley visor and I've never had a problem with it fogging up on me... and I'm an out of shape fat f*#$ who breathes heavily when playing hockey.
I've wiped off some ice or sweat with my jersey while in the game, but other than that I've only cleaned it a couple of times with the stuff that optician gave me when I got my glasses (which also works great on DVDs that your kids touch over and over and over again).
