I'm astonished by how famous this girl has gotten. She has literally had 5 top 10 hits in a row, 4 of them went to the top 5, 3 to the top 2, 2 have hit #1 (could be 3 tomorrow).
This is all in one album. She has literally made Electronic music acceptable and is probably the first pop act in a while to be geniunly talented, as she writes all of her music. Who's the last act to write their own music and have that sort of success? I'm thinking all the way back to Guns N' Roses? Eminem would count if you consider that pop but I dunno. Madonna and MJ?
I know a lot of you old farts and/or metal heads will dismiss her as a cookie cutter corprate popstar but she truely is talented. If you think she is cookie cutter then I suggest you listen to this song:
The song screams Queen and I garuntee if it was released by them it would be a classic.
I think she is a bright spot that shows that Pop music might finally be returning to a respected genre that it hasn't been at since maybe the 80's with MJ or maybe even the 60's with the beatles... We can hope.

Just googled cannibal corpse. That's some kind of music.
They are a pretty extreme metal band, but they seriously dominate as musicians. Drumming, bass and guitars are very technical. That is what I call talent, yet most people will hate what they produce.
The music they make for some reason sounds perfectly good to my brain. Music is very strange.
As much as I hate to admit this, I don't change the radio station when one of her songs comes on. From all I've seen and heard about her, she is the real deal. She DOES write her own music and plays several different instruments.
You can't use the "cookie cutter" comparison to liken her to Brittany Spears or Christina Aguilera because it would be like comparing the Flames to the Blackhawks. Sure, they're in the same league but the talent level isn't even close.
I'm not a big fan of alot of her costumes and stage antics but it's hard to deny that she is quite talented and could be this generations next Madonna or MJ.

Shes single handedly the worst thing to happen to music. Period. Cannot listen to radio anymore in fear of hearing... that gawd awful bed romance song you all know how it starts. My ears bleed from this crap.
