All position players, salary and bonus's, apply to that cap. Signing bonus are usually given as money upfront, counting to that year cap or can be prorated for the length of the contract. I do beleive vy some point they must fit a 52 man roster, along with i BELEIVE 7 players on the practice squad under the cap. I'm not sure if the practice squad numbers count towards the cap.
When a player is cut, their cap number for that year is considered dead money.
So say the Bills gave Bledose all his bonus up front and he only has a base salary of 750,000 this year, that 750,000 will still count towards the Bills cap number, but essentially is dead money.
