Canada Monopoly
Hope this isn't a re-post.
Monopoly is creating a Canada monopoly board for Hasbro's 75th anniversary.
You can go to http://www.monopolyvote.ca/en_CA/world to vote for Calgary (or any other city, of course). The top 22 cities get on the new board.
You can pick 3 cities a day (including wildcard (type-in) votes).

They're still doing this? Wasn't this happening like a year ago?

As far as I know the voting just started last week. It may have been announced last year. Not to sure.

I thought they had already made a Canada one. They have made so many versions of this game now... don't know if it is really worth it. Do they really sell more games with this style of marketing? I guess they must.

We got this in the mid 80's, still at my parents house:
http://gamesmuseum.uwaterloo.ca/Virt...ly/CanGame.jpg
Streets moved from east to west in value. McLeod Trail was the 3rd "green" property with Douglas Street in Victoria as the "Boardwalk".
Some differences. A beaver was one of the game peices. Back in that time, no loonies, so it was all bills. The Canadian jails were not easier to get out of. Income Tax was only 15%.

How does Saint-Jean-sur-Richelongfrenchname, a place I'm not sure I've even heard of, end up in first place in this deal???
I think if there was ever a time for CP jihad, this is it! Calgary vote is in.

The last time they did a "Canada" version, they used streets from across Canada (Macleod Trail was on there for Calgary).
The vote they did a couple of years ago was for the "world" edition. I don't know if any Canadian cities made it.
I was in Shoppers Drug Mart last night and saw a "Cat" edition of Monopoly. I just shook my head and walked away.

They shouldn't allow votes. They did this for the world addition, and some city that no one has even heard of got the Boardwalk spot.

Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto all made it, and China also had 3. No other country had more than 1.

If some tiny-ass town I've never heard of was on the board, I doubt I'd buy it.

Looks like they mixed up Prince George and Cranbrook. I nominated Uranium City.

Also how is Cape Breton on there, it is not a city it is part of NS. That is like voting for Southern Alberta.

Hey you watch your mouth, don't make me come over there!
Seriously though, the largest city on Cape Breton Island, and 2nd largest city in Nova Scotia is the "Cape Breton Regional Municipality". Therefore it's no different than nominating "Halifax" in lieu of the Halifax Regional Municipality. So technically it's more accurate than nominating Sydney or Glace Bay.
PS: Vote for Cape Breton!

Haha we've got Catopoly! Had it for a long time actually...I think we've also got NHL monopoly somewhere too.
