i wish him nothing but the best. He has had an interesting life to say the least. granted he brought a lot of it upon himself but he seems like a great guy. Hopefully he has it all straightened out this time.

I don't believe the picture. He's had a fat face for how long now? That picture has absolutely no leftover fat from his weightloss around his neck, which to me there should be. We'll see though.

I think the only way John Daly could lose 100 lbs is by being hooked up to a shop vac. That or have a nose like a shop vac.

He had rubber bands wrapped around his stomach to make it smaller. He's lost a lot of weight even last summer, so he could look like that by now.

While I applaud the weight loss, it's not like he's turned his life around. He got a gastric bypass.....whoopee. Given his previous 300lb self, combined with heavy boozing, chain smoking and a hard lifestyle, it seems he did the least amount of work possible. Yes, it's a step forward (applause) but it's hardly the transformation that the poor fella needs.

i met him at the skins game when it was held at crowbush cove. one afternoon he, fred couples, mark o'meara and mike weir entertaining the crowd on the driving range for about an hour or so. john daly took mike weir's left handed driver, inverted it and hit it right handed about 300 yards. he rubbed in weir's face cause he could hit it farther than mike, right handed no less.

Good thing he drinks Diet, or otherwise he'd have health issues.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that any of Tiger's ex sponsors who are worried about their image, will not likely be tripping over eachother to pick up Daly. And yes, I realize you were joking.

I went to the Masters last year and across the street from Augusta National in a supermarket parking lot Daly had an RV parked there, he was selling t-shirts with a picture of himself on it and you could pay to chug a beer with him. It was epic.
He stayed in the RV in the parking lot the whole week.

Gastirc bypass isn't the quick fix most people think it is.
Once you've had the surgery done, you've got to be very careful about what you eat as over doing it, or not getting enough water etc can cause some major problems.
It's certanly doesn't take as much work as running 10 miles a day and controlling what you eat on your own, but it certainly doesn't mean he didn't work very hard to lose all that weight.

Just because there are risks associated doesn't make it difficult.
As you can imagine, having a stomach something ridiculous like 1/10th the size of what it was really suppresses the appetite, since the filling of the stomach releases satiety hormones.
Not a fan.
