Default TRX Suspension Training

Has anyone tried TRX Suspension Training yet?

http://www.trxtraining.com/

I'm so pumped about this workout. I've done P90X, Insanity, and Insanity Asylum in the past. I was shocked with how the TRX challenged me. I used muscles that I didn't know I had.

The problems that I ran into with my other workout regimes were as follows:

-p90x: The best all around weight training and diet plan. Major problem is takes so long. Workouts are around 1hr 20 mins.
-Insanity/Asylum: by far my favourite workout. After doing this for 60 days, I felt amazing. Best I've every felt in my life. Major problem is that the workouts destroyed my calfs. I blew both calf muscles and couldn't do anything for a few months.

-TRX looks to be the low impact solution that I need. After one 25 minute workout, I was completely drained and sore for the next few days.

Anyone else that is doing this? If so, can you recommend a good workout regime? I've searched youtube and found a bunch of exercises. But what I want is a free plan to follow. IE, Monday is stretching workout, Tuesday is Chest/Triceps. Wednesday is Cardio, etc.

My wife was doing TRX with her trainer for a while. We bought one, but haven't really used it yet.

Sorry, don't have anything else to help out.

Can't help you with a plan, but I've used TRX quite a bit at my gym and agree that it's a great tool. I don't know that I'd use it as the base of a workout program, I use it more as a complimentary tool, but I could see it taking on a pretty big role if you got creative with it.

Set one up in my garage. Have a pull-up bar and a bar for deadlifts, combine that with my trx and it's all I need.

I've been using TRX the past couple months. When I'm doing back, l like doing leaning backwards almost 45 degrees and pulling yourself forward whilst keeping your arms out and very slightly bent. Then pull yourself forward into an I shape, then next set do Y shape, and then finish with a T. Always keep the straps tight, let let them sag. Think of it as those guys directing planes into the gates. Hope that made sense...

I signed up for an 8 week class at my school's gym last year and I loved it! Learned lots of basics, and I wish I had one that was easily accessible for me to use...our gym is always full with drop in classes to have them set up permanently.

Wife uses it at her boot camp and loves it. She keeps wanting to buy one and put it in our basement.

Get a couple of sanguine gymnastics rings and you'll be able to do everything you can with a TRX band for a fraction of the price and you'll be able to graduate to advanced things like muscle ups that are impossible with TRX.

I'm getting into Calisthenics and I've considered checking this out. Might try it someday.

TRX is an awesome tool. In my opinion it is not sufficient to be a stand alone tool - but it is amazing to use in addition to other programs.
