I had the same problem a couple of days back. I just rebooted the shaw box and it was fine.

Ok. I thought it was of a wider scale, as the phone numbers I called were all busy, not even a recording. The call just dropped. I'll try that. Thanks!

I unplugged the box for a bit and waited about 10 minutes for it to reboot and then plugged it back in and turned it on. Same thing. Bunch of horizontal pixellations with some clear spots and no sound. Like I said, I can't even call them. Just comes up as 'User Busy' on my iPhone with no busy signal or anything. Weird. Maybe a weather related issue, as we had a lot of wet snow with freezing temperatures here.

Same thing with Shaw in Lethbridge. Also tried rebooting; no luck.

Probably some idiot with a backhoe digging where they shouldn't again. Flooding hasn't hit this year, that caused loads of problems last year when the ground washed out then floating debris borked a bunch of the exposed cables.

We aren't having any issue with the TV, but suddenly I can't log into my online account, to check out the OnDemand stuff. Reset the password, still doesn't log me in - just says sign on unsuccessful.
Going to have to DM them via Twitter or something, I guess.

I hate Shaw so much. I called them, was supposed to get a callback in 15-20 minutes, almost 2 hours later and nothing. I've tried calling them a few times since and it doesn't even ring.

A buddy in Medicine Hat was told by a Shaw guy that one of their fibre lines was cut.
Telus probably did it.
