Default Trouble Downloading Torrents on a Mac.

I have been having some trouble downloading torrent on my Mac Book for the last month or so. I use Mac OS X and Frostwire as a P2P Client, I have also tried Transmission too but I just cant seem to get them to download anymore. Im using files with large amount of seeders but it always just seems to be looking for Sources. Anyone perhaps have any tips or advice, on a side note my Provider is Telus if that matters.

Thanks in advance.

Give Utorrent a try.

And make sure your ports are enabled properly.

I use Vuze and always make sure to change the TCP/UDP ports to something other than the default and enable port forwarding on the router for those ports.

That is likely your problem. Telus has probably blocked the default port for your torrent client.

To kind of explain what hulkrogan is trying to say in non-technical terms is to open a port on your router to allow communication out.

To do port forwarding check out this site:
http://www.portforward.com/english/r...outerindex.htm

Just select the router you own and it shows you a step by step process on how to do this.

You should consider upgrading to a windows 7 machine. I have one and its great for torrents. It just works.

I'll just leave this here...

There is a million different things that can go wrong with a torrent download... and not one of them has anything to do with using a Mac.

Get uTorrent, and set it (and your router) up properly.
