Shaw webmail

I was with Telus for Internet and had access to their webmail service so I could check email remotely. I've switched to Shaw for my Internet and now they tell me that if I want Shaw webmail I have to pay $9.95 a month. I thought webmail would come as part of the package. Any options?

are you sure about that? I've never heard of anyone paying the extra for webmail. Regular shaw internet comes with 10 email accounts, you just have to set it up on your online portal. Even light speed internet comes with 3 email addresses.

You could set up gmail to receive your shaw mail. Shaw web mail is really awful. Gmail will keep all of your messages. I can never seem to keep more than 50 in my shaw webmail.

Yeah do this. I think you may have been talking to a Telus rep under cover at Shaw.
