Bizarre and tragic incident. Ottawa Police Service member sitting in his cruiser outside a hospital entrance is stabbed in the neck and later dies. Suspect is a suspended RCMP member. He was captured at the scene due in part to heroic efforts of paramedics.
Brutal story. I don't know what to say, other than that I offer my condolences to the family and the law enforcement community.

Several months after that incident, Gregson was diagnosed with cysts in his brain. He has since had brain surgery and been under suspension without pay from his position at the RCMP's Regina headquarters.
It sounds to me like the RCMP guy has some physical brain problems making him irrational. Not saying he shouldn't be locked up though, and the sooner the better.
