It's actually $8.50-$15.50, but still not bad. A little higher than the Cannons charged, but then, you have to account for inflation.
What bothers me is the season ticket prices. These ST prices are similar to what the Cannons charged, but the Cannons were for 72 games, vs 48 in the Northern League. I'm hoping that there will be ticket packages available, especially flex packs.

The Vipers will hold a free agent tryout camp at Foothills Stadium in Calgary on May 7 and 8.
Free agent try-out camp? I guess they don't have players yet. I am tempted to go to this tryout, I wonder what the quality of players will be.

That is pretty common in independent leagues. The overall quality of the Northern League is right below AA calibre.
The team does have a few players from the expansion draft, but there are a lot of roster spots to be filled.

Do I win the name the team contest for the Edmonton Team.
My entry was: Edmonton Crack Whores.
I think I was pretty close!

I thought that you were joking about the Craker Cats but man that is a horrible name for a team, who came up with that brain child?

The quality of play isn't all that bad. Jeff Zimmerman of the Rangers pitched for the Goldeyes back in the 90's. There are others but I can't think of them now. Something like AA ball really needs a good venue like they have in Winnipeg. Good ballpark = more fans = more exciting.
Season tickets would be too much of a time commitment for me, but I'll probably check out 5-10 games.

Winnipeg's baseball park is a gem. Every seat is a good one. Too bad it's not twice the size.

JD Drew played for St. Paul, though he did so only to try and get around MLB's draft. I believe Darryl Strawberry once played for St. Paul as well.
I agree about the ballpark, but I just dont know where the money for that will come from. The Goldeyes were extremely fortunate that Winnipeg got the Pan-Am Games, as that allowed all levels of government to invest in a ballpark without suffering a guilt trip at the hands of people who would rather have another road.

Man. I'm a proud ex-Winnipeger; they are like the little city that could. But if they manage to get a deal to build a new football stadium, Winnipeg will have a newer ballpark, newer hockey arena and newer football stadium than Calgary. Somethings not right.

Yeah, I wonder about that, as well. But in Calgary's defense, Winnipeg had no baseball park, except that little thing attached to a corner of Canad Inns Stadium & the Winnipeg Arena was a dump. A very old dump. They needed new facilities. Calgary doesn't.
McMahon's in pretty decent shape & the Saddledome has at least 25 good years of life left. Burns Stadium is in sad shape, though.
