My girlfriend said that the paper stated that xbox cords are being recalled due to them being a fire hazard. I've done a bit of a search and can't find anything about this.

Can anybody here shed some light on this?

I've haerd this as well. Apparently, the recall only effects XBOX's sold before 2003.

Its only power cords that came with xbox's manufactured before october 2003, anthing after that should be fine. Go to www.xbox.com and regester your serial number and date and see if it involves your xbox. Mine is involved except my order wouldnt go through so i have to try again later.
