Central tire inflation and run-flat tire technology would ensure that the vehicle does not get stuck in a dangerous location.

The Aussie's have some pretty cool looking equipment for fighting bush fires. Some fire fighters died a few years ago after their truck was surrounded by flames. So they developed a truck that is all enclosed, all wheel drive, and able to withstand like a 10,000 degree fire or whatever. Watched a show about it a while back. I tried finding some pics of it online but cant. Anyway, it's pretty cool looking.
