What is in a McDonalds cheeseburger?
Because I just ate 8 of them, and now I have the shakes and I'm not feeling so well. Is the meat real? I haven't been drinking so that's not it. It must be the cheeseburger. Is it terrible beef?

Your body is extremely upset for the abuse you have put it through. Expect it to lash out at you for the next 24 hours. Just take pepto bismal, and dont eat/drink anything with sugar, and you will be fine.
My cousin once did that. Once.

If you haven't been drinking, why did you eat 8 Mcdonalds cheeseburgers?

Macdonalds standard burgers are made from a mix of rose meat, which very lean (~90%) and is found on the external surface of the cow and 50/50 grind.
I don't know the exact mix of these 2 types, but I used to work in the plant that supplied them with meat and thats what they ordered.

You just ate like 20,000% of your daily intake of sodium. Congrats!

Somewhere, I heard that they are permitted to include a certain percentage of filler, and still claim all-beef patties.
I have been violently ill 3 times from fast food in my miserable existence.
1st time: "Fiesta Burger" at a Mcdicks in Mexico (3 solid days of hell in a mexican bathroom)
2nd: "Veggie Swiss" at BK on Mcleod (3 solid days of dehydrated hell in my Calgary bathroom)
and the fastest - Mcdick's "Samurai Pork Burger" in Bangkok (literally 5 minutes of retention, then 5 minutes of complete bowel-evacuation in a very clean Thai Bathroom, then strangely completely fine).
I have cut out all fastfood chains except A&W, who will likely get me sooner or later. I will go hungry before I touch McDonald's "food" again.

Lot's and lots of perservatives, from what I've heard.
I've heard you can leave a MacDonalds cheeseburger out for a looooooong time, and it won't get moldy or nothing.

I heard they used to call it "100% all beef patties" not because that's what they contained, rather that was the name of the company that produced them.

Don't they use oatmeal as a filler? Or sawdust or something?

All burgers (or things like meat balls) use some sort of grain as a binding agent . . . It's not just fast food. Definitely not sawdust though.

Ok, you ate 8 cheeseburgers and your wondering why you're shaking. I have about as much sympathy for you as I have for people that post "I left (food item) on the counter for three weeks, is it safe to eat it?" Then everyone says "Yeah dude that mayo thats slightly green and fuzzy should be totally fine" then we never hear from the poster again or we get a post about how sick they got.
Maybe your colon needs to explode so that everyone here will learn that lesson.

In 8 cheeseburgers there's ~5960 mg of sodium or 248% of your daily intake. Pretty high, but not nearly as bad as movie popcorn if you add those seasonings. The dill pickle seasoning packet is like 2800mg of sodium or 113% of your daily intake.
