Default Historical Calgary Weather Data

I'm trying to solve a debate with a friend and I need to find out how many days per year the temperature goes below -30. Even if I could just find something that dumped the high and low for every day I could throw it in Excel and figure it out easy enough, but my googling has failed me.

Can anyone help?

According to the Canadian Climate Normals, the average number of days in a year that the minimum temperature is <-30 in Calgary is 4.8.

Awesome. Any ideas if I only want data starting in the 90's or 2000's until now?

I'm kind of shocked we have never hit 40°C here before. Apparently the warmest day ever recorded in Calgary was 36.1°C on July 15, 1919.

Interesting looking at the last 5 Novembers.

2005 - AH (6.1c) AL (-5.5c) ADT (-0.4c)
2006 - AH (-0.9c) AL (-4.8c) ADT (-6.3c)
2007 - AH (4.7c) AL (-7.9c) ADT (-1.6c)
2008 - AH (7.1c) AL (-2.8c) ADT (2.2c)
2008 - AH (9.1c) AL (-4.3c) ADT (2.4c)

AH = Average high
AL = Average Low
ADT = Average Daily Temperature

Looking farther back when they started keeping records.
From years 1893 to 2005 Calgarys temperatures were: AH (2.8c) AL (-8.9c) ADT (-3.1c)

In that time there has been 14 years in the plus side for ADT.
8/14 came since 1980, 4 of those came in the 2000,s.

Maybe it is just because there's more pavement around the weather station than there was twenty years ago...

I'm not sure wind heat is generally included in forecasts

Get a URL expander. This FireFox add on is awesome for thwarting people like Fotze. http://longurl.org/tools

Yes, you needed to. Unfortunately, I hear crap all the time from people who hear about things and feel the need to pass it on. So naturally I assumed you were one of them.
