Who here used to post in the Flames usenet group?

I thought I asked this question before, but couldn't find the thread, I guess it was before the transfer over to the new board.

Who here used to post in the Flames usenet newsgroup, and who did you post as?

I recognize a few names in here (but I won't name names) so I was wondering who else came to CP and uses a different name?

I posted as.... Buff. I was Johnny Nitro when I first came here but didn't like the name so I switched back to something more familiar. I still post to that ng but it ain't what it once was. CP is now my home on the internet.

Part of my reason for this thread was to hopefully find out what happened to guys like Alan Caldwell, and more recently Jay Random.

Initially I refused to come to CP partially because of some ass-clown who told us folks on usenet that we were morons for not posting on CP and that we had no intelligence because we used usenet. I have no hard feelings towards the guy, he just tried to recruit new users the wrong way. Something tells me that he isn't even a regular here anymore, or never truly was. I knew the writing was on the wall and I would eventually join up here, but that guy kept me away for an extra year. When I first signed up here I tried to convince some guys like Eng to come to CP, but I haven't tried in a while, maybe I'll try it again soon.

Well I've invited the remaining usenet die-hards from the Flames NG, so the membership count should be increasing soon. I'll take credit for all the good posters who've joined up around this time frame!
