Last nights game was the best I've seen the Raps play in a long time. Not only did they punk Vince and the brutal Nets but they showed the exact blue print on how to beat Vince Carter. If you can be physical with the guy it's lights out carter. Jalen Rose along with Rafael Arujo kept giving it to the guy and he in turn missed 17 out of 25 shots. Overall not a huge raptors fan, but man was it sweet to see them beat Vince.

btw, did anybody catch the call by Chuck Skiwirsky?(sp) The raptors play by play guy was awsome when calling Vince. Vince pulled a pretty slick 360 and Chuck just mono-toned it with a layup for Vince Carter.

Yeah awesome game and nice hard foul for Vince from Araujo.

Anyone think Rose and Marshall will be gone by the deadline? Deadline is tomorrow and I could definitely see Marshall traded. Not to sure about Rose though because he has a huge contract.

Wow that deal would really suck. When comparing Davis to Alston, the only thing Davis has on Alston is 6 more ppg this season and they want to throw in Marshall and Murray? Ain't gonna happen, Babcock is bad but not that bad.

Yeah, sweet game last night. Great to be able to cheer against such a weak-hearted player rather than trying to cheer for him.

As far as trading goes, I think Rose has really made himself a valuable asset over the last few months. He's shown great shot selection and an ability to dictate games in the second half. He's the sort of guy who you could go to a contending team and come out to steal some playoff games. I was never big on Rose, but his heart this year has really impressed me.

As far as the Baron Davis deal goes, I'd say Marshall/Alston/Murray looks okay--they need to start picking up impact players rather than simply having an entire team of serviceable grinders. If you can get a PG who can get you six more points a night in the same number of court minutes, that would make a big difference--the raptors have bench players who can probably match Marshall and Murray's efforts given a bit of time to adjust. If they can get another asset like a draft pick back in that deal, I think it would be great for the Raptors.

Apparently Shaq is done for the season. If Miami is desperate to trade, Dorell Wright would be a potentially fantastic pickup. Something like Marshall and Murray for Wright and Malik Allen--builds for the future, while Allen helps Toronto's crappy defense.

I think its is going to be either both Rose and Marshall gone or neither one of them. I have heard that the Raptors are only willing to part ways with Marshall if they get an amazing deal and can unload Rose's contract.

Marshall's contract expires at the end of the year and they are paying him very little in comparison to what they would get in return. I think the Raptors would be better off keeping him if they do not get an amazing deal for both him and Rose.

It was "vintage Carter" last night.

Poor shot selection
Crappy D
Failure to consistently put the ball on the floor and drive
Failure to get to the line enough

Yes. Classic Vince. I hate him.

I don't think the raptors should trade anybody except for maybe williams and alston, I am not sure who they would get though. It would be a crappy trade anyhooo, just don't like alston, because he isn't a team player and williams is crying for more time.
