Would the buyer need a U of C ID card or can you just put the sticker on anything?
I'm not interested in buying as I have a Upass, I'm just curious.

I get one at Mount Royal too, I told the lady 4 times I didn't want to pay, but they kept saying I had to buy it. I then thought of selling it but found out it was a sticker.
If I sold it, (my friend wants it), how would he go by using it? Anyone know, or have any ideas. I don't want to eat the $100.

You need the ID for sure... those of us with jobs downtown and a "valid" student ID should be interested...

He'd have to stick it to his Mt Royal or U of C ID card.

Are you frickin serious? You have to buy the UPass? You have no choice?
Sorry, if I am being stupid but come on. Some people just don't need them.

The Upass costs $80 for 4 months. A regular transit pass costs $83 per month. The people that don't use it are supplementing the remaining 3 months for the people that do use it.

Those s. Here I thought the Upass was an awesome idea. Give the students a break. Help them out a little. But they are screwing other students who don't need it. Damnit.

It's basically built into your tuition, and it goes a long way. I'd much rather pay $80 for 4 months, then get passes for $83 each month.
And I guarentee the people that say "I WONT USE THIS" will eat their words a couple of nights when they are coming home from a pub, and it saves someone a ticket from a transit cop.

Pretty sure all IDs are permanently valid.
Unless of course you mean you are just going to use someone elses old ID which would work as well.
I just got a new U of C ID card this year because my old one got lost and the card is so ghetto the picture is already faded beyond recognition.

And I'd much rather not pay for something I'm never going to use like last year when I never took transit once during the school year. But even if I were to take the bus a few times I'd still much rather pay the one time fare.
I'd be interested in selling my pass as well but I'm not sure how you would go about doing that.

I am serious. I drive, I bought the parking pass ($180 for 4 months), and I didn't want to pay the $80 for the pass so I phoned the school. I told her I don't want it, and I told here I even bought a parking pass.
She said "sorry, you have to buy it". I pleaded but to no avail.
Sort of annoying knowing the fact I am wasting $80 x 8 semesters = $650 on a bus pass I have no use for. Especially annoying considering the car I plan on buying isn't cheap.
I will still try and sell it, but I don't know who would want them.

I don't think it's much different than a lot of things on campus. Your tuition goes toward the gym costs and not everyone uses it.

If I didn't have my UofC ID stolen when I was mugged in Europe, I would totally be in on this.
