Weird Firefox error with side mouse buttons

I have a logitech g3 gaming mouse, and when firefox is open the left and right side click buttons bring up special characters like this: ♠♦

Also, the side buttons which act as "back" and "forward" sometimes randomly dont work in firefox, yet this isn't an issue in IE or chrome. Help?

ok i figured this out on my own. as soon as i un installed setpoint, logitechs driver software for keyboards mice etc, problem went away. weird.
