The Habs continue to keep the opponent's shot totals down; in this game we outshoot the Red Wings 35-18 and scored 3 goals. Koivu continues his hot streak and with some contributions on the backend we have extended our winning streak to 5 games. With back-to-back-to-back games though, it will be a challenge to keep it going.

Wow, we beat Pittsburgh. And I was only using 5 defensemen with Grossman out!! All the scoring occured in the 2nd period. Mark Stuart got his 1st of the year on the powerplay. Toby Petersen got his first and Slater got his first for the game winning goal.

It is clear that our offense runs through Sheldon Souray. He blasted one past Price, and another of his blasts resulted in a rebound goal by Petersen.

After getting out of the crazy 2nd period with the lead, one of the best all-time defensive lockdowns occured in the 3rd. With all those superstars, Pittsburgh only managed 2 shots!! First time I can remember a crowd giving a standing ovation for a defensive performance.

Caps eeek out a 1-0 win.

3-1 with only 10 goals for... Brodeur is playing amazing right now.

Flames beat the Bolts 4-3 in a shootout but have lost Zubov to a left hand injury for 2 months. This is a huge blow to the Flames blueline which doesn't have much depth.

Poor effort by the Pens today...Our 2nd line has been nonexistent so far this season. Need to put together some better efforts if we wanna be a playoff squad.

Jackets continue to roll, how long can this last, word around the locker room is quite a while. There is quite a buzz going through Columbus right now.

Four players with a two point night.

Flyers hammer the Bruins 8-3.

Good to finally score some goals and see some line chemistry. See how long this lasts.

A lot of players with good night.

Next up a date with the Hawks.

Preds fall back to .500 with a loss to the Jackets. We were just plain outclassed in this one...which is all we can hope for on some nights!

Tomorrow is a big show down with the Bruins!
