Default Wind Warning!

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for the City of Calgary.

Winds 60 Km/h Gusting 90 Km/h !!!!!

I was looking at my 60 ft. spruce trees a few minutes ago, I have never seen them sway that much. Definitely makes me nervous.

Walking from Sunlife plaza around 315 I almost got blown over trying to cross 4th Ave.

I am not looking forward to the walk to Crescent Heights.

It's the same up here in stinktown. Due to lack of parking, I parked almost a mile away from the University, that was a fun walk back to my car this afternoon...

I just walked to the store to grab a proline. Nearly died with all the flying debris hitting me in the face.

I looked outside and was convinced there was some sort of tornado nearby, there was a huge dust cloud coming right for me.

Stay the hell away from the Calgary Tower and the rest of downtown!!!

I work next to the tower. I kept my eyes on that building under construction that has already had deadly debris. Thankfully the only thing that flew off was a carboard box lid.

Careful now!..... I mentioned the same thing earlier this summer and I got the obligatory: "What!!??....You live in Calgary and you're bitcin' about the wind!??"

Well, that's BS! yeah it can get windy here, but NOT every freakin' day and not gusting between 50-60-70-80 or 90 every Day!

What's with this weather? Here we've had record highs for a week. No breeze. Today's heat index was 106F. Can we do a liittle weather trading of some sort?
