He wouldn't have a problem with the score clock if Abby would've got the Moose. He's just jealous.

BTW, I'm living in Abbotsford now, and there's advertising everywhere for the Heat: on busses, bus stops, billboards, newspapers, posters, restaurants, etc.

If the advertising is any measure of how the support is going to be this year, then the Heat will be here for a while.

That's cool for the advertising but for someone who lives there, what's the buzz on the Heat on the streets and people of the city actually? Do they actually care or is it mostly still Canuckleheads?

too bad they didn't get red seats... green doesn't flow well with the team colors.

I'm looking forward to attending some games. This will be good for Abbotsford, which needs some positive family friendly attractions.

Update: There's an article in today's Abbotsford Times paper about how the taxpayers are paying for the Heat's scoreclock... way to rile up the support Abbotsford.

Yes, that's right. I also went to get my opening night tickets last week and while I was at the box office, every person that came up to the teller next to me ONLY asked when the Heat are going to play the Moose. Sad, so sad.

I look forward to going to a few games this year. I actually don't get care if it isn't against Manitoba, as I would cheer for Abbotsford anyway. Who cares if the team is affiliated with a rival of the Canucks. It is just sports, it isn't like we're supporting a team affiliated with Al Qaeda. The Heat will do very well in Abbotsford, the only team that should be worried is the Chilliwack Bruins of the WHL as a lot of their support comes from Abbotsford. The cheapest tickets are $15 as well which isn't too bad. Anyone know if there are family rates?

The green makes sense, why put red seats in when the Moose will be home team within 5 years

That will be because the immensely popular Abbotsford Heat will become the Vancouver Heat and play to ecstatic capacity crowds in GM Place.
