Shaw Sucks
It pisses me off that I can't get Bell at my current address. I subscribe to Sunday Ticket every year and was pumped to watch my game in HD this morning. I check the guide and Shaw has one game in HD, despite having 8 HD channels dedicated to sports packages. Brutal. Bell, on the other hand, will be airing every NFL game this morning in HD, plus has their NFL interactive service. Not to mention Bell's HD blows Shaw's out of the water.
I can also tell you that Shaw is pretty well the worst company I've ever worked for, and I'm not surprised that they're pulling this Mickey Mouse garbage again. Terrible, terrible company.
Can't wait for the Centre Ice debacle again this year.
Stupid Shaw.

It is quite sad that only one game is in HD, I an quite dissapointed in it. Every year the price goes up and the service doesn't get better. If you're going to increase the price then better your service. I just hope they remember to activate it from the beginning because I recall last year they didn't turn the service on until a half hour into the broadcast. They seem so disorganized.

LOL! I just talked to them and they said the reason was that they didn't get enough licenses to air the games in HD for week 1. How does a supposedly professional company drop the ball like that? Absolutely bush league.

You actually got through?? I called them 45 mins ago and left a callback number and they still haven't called me back.
Are you guys even getting Sunday Ticket right now? It always bungs up the first week of the season, I never get the feed until like the end of the 3rd quarter. I'm out for blood today. Haha I feel like a deadbeet enough for drinking at 11am on a Sunday, now I'm drinking at 11am on a Sunday while I stare at a blank screen. FML

It says on the Shaw site there will be more HD games in the Centre Ice pack and I noticed the price is higher this year.

Yes but those are the regular channels. I should be able to get another 8 because of Sunday Ticket.

That's set by Center Ice, not the carriers. Bells went up as well

Having worked for both companies, Shaw is definitely more shady operation. You're expected to fall in line and never question anything. A friend of mine got fired from Shaw for suggesting improvements to their phone service that would make it safer. They told him he was being insubordinate and negative, and then gave him severance.

I'll take better programming anytime. As for billing, I'm still paying $64 a month for 11 theme packs, movie pack, all HD channels and a HD PVR - Thank you retentions!
Speaking of PVR, i converted my other normal HD player to a PVR by plugging in my Western Digital hard drive. You don't need to buy that Bell Hard Drive at all!

Because Shaw is a rip off. I ended up watching my Eagles game in SD after all of this and they kept fataing up the feed. Switched to the Cowboys feed about a dozen times in the game. Morons.

One HD game is pretty pathetic.
I will be the first to admit that Bell's customer service is brutal but their program is a 100x better than Shaw.

I've had both services and I'd rate them...
Bell: 8/10 - Good product/crap service
Shaw: 7/10 - crap product/decent service
