Let the arms race begin!
The Ducks have made a move to bring in stud Dman Chris Pronger. He is one of the highest rated Dmen in the league and will help bolster this squad from the back end.
To the Ducks:
Chris Pronger
Thomas McCollum
Carter Camper
Cap this year
2mill cap next year
To the Yotes:
Dennis Wideman
Colin Wilson
John Murray
Igor Revenko
We really wanted to keep Wideman OR Wilson but Dean was persistent with his request for both players. As a result we received a couple mid-level prospects and some cap next summer to help deal with this crazy cap of the Ducks.
We now boast a top 4 of:
Pronger-Bouwmeester
Phaneuf-Regehr
Our bottom 3 on D are Sauer, Lebda, and Doug Murray but who knows how much TOI they will see.

Ducks are not joking around this year... thats an unbelivable top 4. I think Wilson is going to be a future star but when you can add a top 5 D-man in the league you do it. There are some nice pieces coming to the ducks in McCollum and Camper as well.
I like this move for both teams. Yotes get a future stud(hopefully) in Wilson and a young d-man to build his d-corps around in Wideman.

Good deal for both clubs - Phoenix got a nice return with that deal.

Nice deal all around, Pronger should help shutting down Kings/Wild/Hawks offense, you need a good defense in front of kipper
Wideman is a nice young dman and Wilson will be a star.
Side note, the Flyers could've landed Pronger but couldn't fit him in our cap, even after getting creative we were half a mill over so we moved on.

Even deal all around. It's nice to see these players stay out West, we've had enough of an Arms Race out here!

With the cap going up, can we get a bump in cheese limit? more money out there should mean a but higher cheese limit too.

Just because you're up against the cheese limit doesn't mean we should up the amount, you should have thought of that before you brought in everyone.

Coming from a rival, I think the Flyers are good enough and don't need anymore cap!

That was a tough deal to make with a divisional rival - but the return of a top pairing D-man and what looks to be a 1st line center was too good to pass up. Thanks for the deal Ravi.

You don't need to add any whine space either. Syl does enough of that for everyone.

I was just talking about Cheese room, just saying that I don't agree with Cheese being added.
Last year at about the 75% completion mark I had no Cheese and had to figure out how to deal with it; its part of the game all I was saying.
I didn't really think the whole ripping off part was necessay, but whatever.

I'd have to disagree with simmer only offering people crap offers. I made a couple deals with him this summer and they were definitely fair (67 Jackman for 63 Cogliano + 59 Russel). Simmer makes fair trades as well.

Ask Ravi and he'll tell you I did the same thing last year so no cookie for you. The fact I brought up the cheese is because there is more money out there so the cheese should've linked to that and been raised a bit. But oh well. As far as you're ripping off, be proud, takes balls to constantly throw out those same low ball offers.

I would say that acquiring Pronger is more of an elbows race than an arms race. Dude uses his elbows more than his arms.
