I think I can help you out. NHL.com uses pre-made jerseys, which have flat numbers and letters with the illusion of being layered. Those are pressed on and could be removed under very high heat, say about 225 degrees fahrenheit.
The only problem with that is the remains from the glue. There will be white stains in the shape of Iginla and 12 and the people at the FanAttic will have to be extra careful and coordinated so that they place the new kit right on top of the stains. If done right this could look perfect, but if done improperly, the jersey could be ruined. Be very careful and never buy a jersey from NHL.com again. Trust me, they suck.
