Google 1 Bing 0
I just Bing'd "simple simon pie directions" and got ZERO results. I Google'd it and got about 70,000 hits.
Does Bing suck? I have been giving it a fair shot, but so far it has bombed.
Hey, Bomb would be a cool name for a search engine.

I would like a search engine that actually gave you a pie. Sort of like a mom, but electronicified, and programmed not to nag you about meeting some nice girl.

Amazing, now I get results. I wonder if there is something in the algorithm that is based on prior searches? Does it cheat and use google?
I had ZERO results. Try to put in anything and you will get more than zero.

Mhh this is kind of weird actually.
I googled the same thing: "simple simon pie directions", 4 separate times and got 70,000 hits every time.
I 'binged' "simple simon pie directions" 4 separate times and got:
680,000
700,000
840,000
560,000
Mhh, weird.
Oh to clarify I didn't use quotations in my searching.

Putting quotes around it forces a phrase search, neither search engine produces any results for the exact phrase. Google just tries to be helpful and, if it finds nothing, drops the quotes and gives you the straight search results.

Have you ever heard what happens when you search something and google can't find results?

Wow, you joined that long ago?
I actually started what I thought was a good thread, a compare between Google and Bing...I did not have the pie baking directions. Then I noticed something rather interesting during my compare.
Glad you like the thread!

I've found bing seems a little better when searching for consumer items and google is much better for technical searches.
