Well the post was meant to be melodramatic and condescending to stir up controversy and well... mission accomplished? But you're right all that sarcasm got people focussed on the wrong things, so let's try this again.

Yelling "red" during the national anthem is stupid because it doesn't even make sense. You should stop doing it because it's stupid. The End.

As for the other posts, at least Dallas "Stars" and Atlanta "Brave(s)" sort of makes sense. My argument is that Calgary "Red "does not. Also I specifically said I was NOT commenting on whether this was disrespectful or not.

I don't understand where in my post I said fans shouldn't cheer and stuff. That's the great part about being at a hockey game live, I'd just prefer it if we yelled relevant things. Nobody cheers "Ricci's Ugly!" at RANDOM games 'cause it doesn't make sense, even though it's an awesome chant.

Lastly, I'm sorry if I got anybody all riled up. This post was mainly for fun. I mean did I really think I could come onto an internet forum and change the world? But if you did get annoyed at my original post, now you know how I feel when you yell stupid things.

Does this not also happen in Raleigh?

I do not mind it at all. I am all for respecting national anthems, but I am certain these guys mean no disrespect. It just sports fans having a bit of harmless fun.

Just get rid of the group in 218 that insists on hunching forward to watch the action so that I can't see the boards without hunching like a fool as well.

Does that extra 12 inches closer to the action really matter? Did your mom not teach you to sit up like a human being and not hunker over like an ape? THAT WAS OUR PLANET!

Oh, by the way: I have a link for you to a set of wonderful places where tomfoolery such as this is not only discouraged but people are required to be as quiet as possible. Attendance there is substantially cheaper than at Flames games.
