On Jimmy Kimmel Cross noted that the show was done!

I hate fox with every ounce of my body.

They are cutting down on this seasons order to make space for that god awful pile of crap American Dad.

Arggggggg!

Don't blame Fox. Blame the masses for not watching...

I haven't really watched the show much. I've watched a few episodes and never got into it. However, I do know people who like it, and it sucks that it's cancelled.

I thought it was pretty hilarious, the characters are so money, and they don't even know it.

The problem was they tried to have a constant story-line, that was really hard to follow unless you watched most of the shows, in order.

Its way funnier when you know more about the storyline/plot development, much like Lost is way better if you've actually watched most of it, as opposed to tuning in to the most recent and 'not getting it'.

What???!?!??

I am sad now.

Edit- was skeptical, so I am currently surfing some AD forums and found this link:

http://today.reuters.com/news/newsArticle....SION-DAD-DC.XML

So, if I'm reading things right, FOX hasn't cancelled the show yet, but has ordered fewer episodes. I imagine that usually leads to a cancellation however.

But the worst part about this is that FOX is bumping it to make room for ... AMERICAN DAD! Garbage. I am writing some letters.

Good lord. That is a sad state of TV viewing affairs in my mind.

FOX really know how to screw up a good thing. How about you leave Arrested Development in one place for a bit, maybe put some advertising about it on TV and see what happens. God, if you keep the Simpsons running, and move in American Dad while cancelling one of the few good comedy's on FOX it's a shot to the head. If FOX cancels AD, I might just have to boycott FOX, and try to convince anyone I know to do the same.

How do execs in charge over there allow crap like Nanny 911 etc.. to reign over good shows. It wins EMMY'S!! GOD DAMMIT!

On the Arrested Development website Link they posted this message:

Dear Arrested Development Fans:

Thank you for your e-mail and your passionate support of Arrested Development. While the show has finished production for its second season, contrary to the rumors you may have heard or read on the internet, it is NOT cancelled.

We at FOX love Arrested Development and we look forward to having the Bluth family back on FOX in the future – hopefully for many years. You can help make the show a bigger success by getting as many people as possible to start watching the show this Sunday and every Sunday at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.

Sincerely,
Fox Broadcasting Company

That's kind of better to hear.. and I do my part.. WATCH THIS SHOW PEOPLE.. JUST START WATCHING AND KEEP WATCHING A FEW EPISODES!! PLEASE!!

So, it's finished production for the second season...

What exactly does that mean? Did they finish shooting a full 22 episodes for the 2nd season like they did for the first? Have they shot, say, 14, and 8 have been sacked? Will they run (x) remaining shows and axe the show later?

Or, here's the conspiracy, was David Cross just stirring things up on Kimmel? I didn't see it, but from what I've read on other forums, he sounded pretty dejected and p*ssed off. Even said something to the effect of: "yeah. the show's done. Way to go America. You won. You won America." Typical Cross, but it doesn't sound promising.

The other thing to keep in mind is that Ron Howard is one of the Exec.'s, and he has a little pull in Hollywood. Even if FOX were to axe the thing, you'd have to think Ron could convince another network to pick up a CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED, AWARD-WINNING COMEDY!!

Seinfeld was a ratings dog its first 3 seasons. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. But I still sent in my letter.
