Default Pete The Plumber?

Did a quick search and saw a few posts about this company but I thought I'd seek some more input. Looking at having some plumbing work done in my basement and have had them out for an estimate. Does anyone have any experience with Pete The Plumber?

They are average, but have extraordinary marketing.

Pete the Plumber used to be my flag football coach when I was a kid.

True story!

Not getting sued by Marvel for most of their designs makes me wonder why they're plumbers, and not advertising execs.

If I was Pete I'd be worried now. Disney doesn't eff around.

I've always wondered about the whole Marvel thing. Maybe Pete is Pete Lee, offspring of Stan?

For a recommendation, I highly recommend Mr. Rooter in the S.E. They have at least a couple of great guys and good phone staff as well.

Used them last week. Water heater went one night, started leaking all over, called Pete and had a new one installed the next day. No complains here, everyone I dealt with was great.

I used Pete for a hot water heater that went. They came and installed the new one. After completing the install, the plumber went to light the pilot, and couldn't. So he hauled the new hot water heater out and went and got a new one. This one worked. He was at my place until after midnight.

I was impressed that when there was a problem, they solved it - no questions asked - right away. I know many companies that would say tough luck, take it to the manufacturer.
