Default LPGA Canadian Open at Priddis Greens

I know, it's the LPGA. It's pretty unlikely that anyone here cares, and I don't really care about the LPGA either. But as a sports and golf fan it is cool for Calgary to host a major golf event like this. All 50 of the world's top 50 ranked female golfers are in attendance. I'm heading down Sunday for sure for the final round, and might go tomorrow or Saturday if I feel like it.

Anyone else heading to Priddis to check this out? There are some good looking ladies out there and it's a pretty solid opportunity to see some of the best female golfers in the world.

I'll probably try to catch Michelle Wie's round if I go tomorrow, and follow a later group on Sunday.

Natalie Gulbis is who i'll be watching. Then again so will every guy out there. Meh maybe i'll go watch Lori Kane as no one will be following her

Going tomorrow and on Sunday.

This event should be better than the Mens Open. At least all of the top players are there, and at $30/day or $60/week its a great deal.

Here's a list of some hot golfers in case someone's wondering who to look for.

Anna Rawson, Carin Koch, Paula Creamer, Sarah Smith, and Natalie Gulbis.

Morgan Pressel and Michelle Wie fall into the "not bad" category.

Feel free to add to the list, I just took a quick look.

Definately a lot more affordable than the $325 the 91st PGA Championship was charging in Chaska Minnesota. My brother and I tried to get a day pass for that and couldn't. All I got was a PGA Championship golf cap

I'm looking forward to watching this. I hear the gals are more friendly and love to sign autographs. Been to a few PGA events and this will be my first ladies event.

They say there is no parking at Priddis Greens so fans have to catch a shuttle from Spruce Meadows.

The shuttle was brutal yesterday. (I should've put this up for you last night). They are hopefully going to have that corrected for today, but there was an enormous line of people trying to leave and it took well over an hour to get back onto the bus.

If she can card a 68 today she's got a chance. Needs to birdie 9. She won't be in contention so I probably won't watch her on Sunday. Never got a chance to go out and see her today, still stuck at the office.

Edit: Par on 9 for a 69, Wie is likely out of the weekend. Gulbis is probably safe.

Anna Rawson set a course record with a 64 yesterday, and Song-Hee Kim broke it today with an impressive 62.

Too bad I couldn't make it, but Natalie Gulbis was signing autographs at the south Golf Town location the past Tuesday evening.

Looks like the 10th hole is giving some of them a hard time.

I learned an interesting tidbit in that Swedish golfer Helen Alfredsson's caddie and husband is former Flames star Kent Nilsson. Anyway a buddy and I were parked at the 9th green watching the golfers go through. Alfredsson finishes her putt and they make thier way to the clubhouse after finishing thier round.

We stick out our Flames ball caps and ask Kent for his autograph. His wife gave me the look as if to say...."Hey! You should be asking for my autograph! "Kent laughed when I told him he must be the first caddie to be asked for thier autograph

Caught a glimpse of Natalie Gulbis on the 9th hole also. She misses her putt and some guys yells out.... "I still love you anyway!" Everybody laughed.

Great golf course and I beleive a new course record was set today by South Korea’s Song-Hee Kim. She shot a 62 today.

The 9th was even worse. Anyone who landed thier ball above the hole couldn't sink thier putt. They were all misreading the break.

Then there was this gal that hit hole with her sot from the fairway on #18. Sadly it didn't stay in the hole and rolled to the front of the green. She ended up with a par when she should have had an eagle

Just got back from the tournament. A well enjoyed morning and afternoon, amazing skills of all players.
Had no problem getting out of the golf course.
