Pretty sure if you have unpaid tickets from them, and you park in their lots, you can be towed. I could be wrong though.

They can only tow you off the lot because you are trespassing. They could however just drop your car in the middle of a road and you get towed by the city.

It means I got an impark ticket 2 months ago, never paid it and nothing has happened.

well at the risk of sounding like an a$$ ... why shouldnt you pay it?

you paid to park on their property for a period of time and agreed to be off their property by a certain time. they issued you a ticket, that you agreed to pay as part of the conditions of not being off their property by the time you promised you would be.

what have they done wrong? you owe the money, dont be a chump.

If i remember right impark doesnt really have any right to hand out tickets... its why they are made to look similar to the City of Calgary parking tickets. Technically they should only be allowed to "ticket" you for damages cuased, which would be however much you didnt pay for parking that time. But someone can correct me if im wrong, not the most legal minded person out there

On the flip side, I actually had one call me a few months ago after I had parked in a reserved spot.

I had a for sale sign in the window. I did get a ticket but he contacted me so I wouldn't get towed and even helped me find a new spot in the lot.

I have 3 of them unpaid. I park in their lots and never pay.

When I went to the Team Canada game last week or the week before I parked in the impark lot west of Macleod and like 15th or 16th ave and there was a line up to pay to parking about 20 or 30 people long. I just kind of felt like yelling "you don't need to pay for parking here" but I didn't. I got a ticket though that won't be paid!

Really dumb question but why don't you have to pay to park at an IMPARK lot?

I had tickets like 10 years ago with them and they sent a collection agency after me - they called my parents house a lot.

Then that collection agency got in trouble for calling people at 3am.

I think I'm in the clear...

They cant go after you like the city can.

There only recourse is to tow your vehicle and then force you to pay the tickets as part of the impound fee.

I know of a few people that has happened to, all were parked downtown and had to go to a parking lot near Chinook to get their car.
