Default The Institute for Human Continuity (IHC) - Really?

Is this serious? I saw a commercial for this on TV and I was thoroughly convinced that it was just an offbeat form of advertising for an upcoming movie, trying to build hype and all that, then I went to the website:

http://www.instituteforhumancontinuity.org/#/home

And it seems legit....or, more appropriately, it seems to take itself fairly seriously at least.

Heres a couple of commercials:

Now like I said, I thought this was a movie promo based on what you see in those commercials, but they go to some considerable extent on their website to come across as legit, farther than I would imagine any marketing company for a film would typically take it.

What are your thoughts?

It's ads building hype for the 2012 movie.

It's called Viral Marketing.

I guess there really is a sucker born every minute...

Just grinding your gears Locke, but yeah, it's an advertising campaign for a movie. A good one though and I wouldn't be surprised if it had a "War of the Worlds" effect on some people.

The OP was all green text right? I drank too much last night, so I might be color blind.

Sorry, are you serious? It even says "Enjoy the 2012 movie experience" in big white lettering.

Many major movies have viral marketing websites like this nowadays. This one isn't even that well done in the first place!
