I'm listening right now.

They are talking to a time-travelling Aztec who rode a talking Unicorn that said some very troubling things about vaccines.

Great discovery Mulder...

It's only been on the air since about 1985.

I used to listen to this show every night back in the 90's until roughly 2002/03. Some of the topics they discussed when I was younger scared the crap out of me at times. But I haven't tuned into it for years as I've been doing graveyards. I should sign back up to their streamlink stuff.

George Noory (sp?) still hosting? Does Art Bell still do the occasional show?

Wasn't this the show where a guy called and pulled his story directly from the Half-Life video game and they bought it hook line and sinker?

I don't think "awesome" is the word. "Hilarious" is more apt. It can be entertaining, if you don't take it seriously. The hosts, whether it was Art Bell or Noory, have a complete inability to ask one critical question.

So caller, you are an invisible time traveller that has visited the alien city on Mars? Tell me more.

It was better when Art Bell was around. Some of the stories that came out were fantastic. I always pictured Art Bell being some huge skeptic just sat in his studio with his microphone on mute laughing while the people went on. I think he did interviews that way (not asking the One Critical Question) in order to encourage people to call in with this stuff.

Mel's Hole is one of my favorite Art Bell stories ever. I also fondly remember the one where the caller was apparently in a Cessna flying into Area 51 airspace (Art Bell: "I'd advise against that.") and then the call ending as the guy goes "Arrrrrgghgherheghhghg!" My Dad and I got a good laugh out of that one.

One of Art Bell's Coast to Coast interviews occurred in 1997 with Mel Waters, who discussed what is known as "Mel's Hole" in rural Washington, which is said to be an infinitely deep hole featuring paranormal powers. No such hole has ever been found.

^ I didn't say I thought it was true, just that it's my favorite Art Bell story.

My dad listens to it every night. He was saying that 2 nights ago, about 30 minutes in, the station just went dead. Does anyone know why?
