Default LA Kings and TML hook up for a big trade

From the Desk of the President and General Manager of the Los Angeles Kings.

Well it took less than an hour and Marc Savard was shipped off, out of division, out of conference and out of the country!

Marc was traded to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for offensive defenceman Dan Boyle.

This trade helps the Kings out in a number of ways...

first off, we can now move malkin to his natural spot at Centre along with Kovalchuk on a wing.

secondly, we shore up our defence and it gives us another offensive weapon along side Nik Lidstrom.

We'll see what happens.

I really like this move for the Kings. They're already stacked at forward and to be able to add another high end offensive defenceman for Savard is pretty good. Anytime you can trade for a higher rated defenceman who's about the same age and makes the same money. I think it's a good move.
