5000 people for a city in Saskatchewan?

If Alberta's standards were so low, there'd be about 50 cities in this province.

Meadow Lake is an oxymoron and therefore ineligible for an NHL team.

Otherwise good idea though.

I thought the standard in Sask for a city was whether they had a Saan or Mcleod's. Apparently, that's too high.

I think they are that low - Drumheller is a city.

Drumheller actually became a town again in 1997.

Camrose is a city and loves the Kodiaks. Therefore I fully submit their admission into the NHL. I mean the ice at Edgeworth can't be worse than the ice in the south, can it?

Now that's a topic for a new thread. This here is about Meadow Lake supporting an NHL team.

Ya guys, please stay on topic. This is pretty srs bsns.

I am a little worried about their rink situation. My understanding is that Yellow Leg Arena can only hold about 300-400 people, with standing room.. that might be a little low.

We'll see what happens though I guess.. they ARE a City now and because of this are subject to any type of Pro sports team..
