Default Real Property Reports

Any recommendations on how to get an updated one.

Friends of ours in May of this year simply got a stamp on their previous one at the City. However, someone at the city office says they no longer do this and that one has to pay to get it updated.

Suggestions, comments and recommendations on who to go with to get an update one much appreciated.

If you have your RPR and just need an update, phone the company that did the original and get them to do the update. $300 to add a deck or fence. $600-700 to make a new one. Then you still need the city to stamp it.

I had to do an update before I sold my house last year, if you are doing this for the sale of your house get going. We waited 4 weeks for the surveyor to come out. The city of Calgary give good instructions on how to get your stamp on their website.

Geetee is right. Go back to the original surveyor if possible, and the cost of an update should be less than a new RPR.

How can I get a Real Property Report updated?

In many cases, it is more economical to update an existing Real Property Report. Contact the Alberta Land Surveyor who did the original Real Property Report.
