What's with celebrities and drugs? He is one person who should have appreciated life after he survived a plane crash.

Was this guy really a celebrity? Besides suriving a plane crash, I don't know what else he ever did.

Dated Nicole Richie, and stole Turtles new pair of Fukijamas. Other than that, I have no idea.

Exactly - the title should be "Random **** dies months after surviving plane crash"

Maybe he wasn't famous to you, but to some he was one of the best DJ's around.

Sad news, especially after surviving that plane crash. Reminds me of the lady who missed the French flight, but then died in a car accident like a week later.

Who really knows what he's being going through since that plane crash.
He may have had a serious case of survivors guilt. Couple that with always being around a party scene may have led him to troubled times.
RIP

When I saw this thread the first thing I thought was "Who the hell is DJ AM?"
I don't know if that makes me a bad person...it's sad when anyone dies, but TBQH I have no idea who he is.
RIP

He's a big celebrity if your in that circle. Obviously if you don't know him, his stuff wasn't for you.
Apparently he got dumped earlier this month and it hit him hard. He's also been dealing with horrible post traumatic stress from the plane crash. He could never understand why he was spared. Weird! He used to be a drug addict but has been clean for 9 years. Sounds like the girl and the crash were enough to get him going on the drugs again. Or maybe it was a simple bad combination thing like Ledger? Who knows.
Regardless, when someone dies it's sad (to me anyways). I think surviving the crash and then dying from anything a year later at not even 40 is shocking.

TBQH I'm not too sure what you're trying to say there. You're asking if you're a bad person because you saw a thread about a famous DJ, and thought "who the hell is that?". Well no, it's no different than if a famous NHL hockey player died and someone in Alabama read the news and said "who the hell is that?".
It doesn't make him any less famous, because he was fairly famous, it just means that you aren't into what he was famous for. Just like a famous hockey player isn't any less famous just because non-hockey fans don't know him.
