Default A must share Calgary driving expierience

So I'm driving along last evening and traffic in Calgary is heavy as usual. A lady in a minivan puts on her signal so she can change lanes and merge off of McLeod. The guy behind her steps on the gas so she can't get in, sticks his arm well out the window, gives her the finger and makes it obvious, very obvious. Anyway the lady slams on the brakes just about runs onto the grass running out of space. Being mad about the lack of common courtesy in this city I then felt the need to be extra courteous to make up for that one guy. Nevertheless Calgarians beat me to it, not once but twice since then. A bus driver let me in in a traffic jam and a guy on a bike seeing I can't get across 16th ave (stop sign) pressed the crosswalk sign to stop traffic and waved me across. I consider myself pretty new to this city and just when my opinion about Calgarians is about to change it's nice to see that most Calgarians are quite different.

It's tough because experiences such as your first one will resonate far longer than the other two. Every city has it's a**holes and I don't believe there are too many exceptions.

I know it's fashionable to talk about how much of a hell hole this city has become, but personally I don't notice a whole lot of difference since I moved here when I was a kid.

Coles Notes version:

A guy watches another vehicle not let a signalling car change lanes, giving her the finger no less for acting in a completely legal matter. The viewer decided to make up for it by being nice to other drivers, but is beaten by two other drivers already being very courteous to him.

It was a pretty clear post imo. It was a story from a new calgarian about an a-hole driver, followed by two nice acts by calgarians. It doesn't really require a 'coles notes' version.

What kind of vehicle was he driving?

You should have taken his plates down.

My wife and I were going to take the plates down of a driver the other day, but couldn't get close enough to read them:

We were heading up Falconridge Blvd just north of McKnight in the left lane, going 60 (speed limit), and I see a guy in a silver Grand-am (with Purple license plate frame) coming up rapidly in the right lane behind me. Knowing that the driver is going to change lanes directly in front of me to get around the car in the right lane in front of me, I let off the gas a little bit, to give the idiot room to get past me as quick as possible. So, he roars up past me, probobly going 100, lane changes in front of me, like I knew he was going to, and flies past the car ahead of me in the right lane, meanwhile, the light ahead turns Red. Noticing the red light, the idiot driver turns right (from the left lane) into the right turn lane, starts going a few feet along Falconridge Drive, immediately pulls a U-turn, and then makes a right turn to get back onto Falconridge Blvd, as this tires are squealing the whole time. We think we've seen the last of him, and we're talking about the ability to take down license plate numbers of drivers like that.

Then, not much further up Falconridge blvd, and after us waiting at the next light, the same car flies past us again - he must have pulled off at the previous light for a bit, then started driving again - but the light ahead is red, so we are thinking we are going to record his license plate number as we pull up behind him if possible. Then, the guy drives straight through the red light at Falshire Drive without stopping (we're a ways back) and we don't see him again.
