Default Reptile Vet - anybody know anything in the SE

Or pretty much anything in calgary....

My leopard gecko is developing a blister and is likely infected under his tail. I just noticed it today, but he has had a change in appetite and problems shedding of late. So I want to take him in but don't know any reptile vets.

My rabbit's vet also handled reptiles. Just super staff there.

Can't 'herp' you on a vet, but here's an extensive forum for leopard gecko owners. Register and post a question if you can't get him to a vet soon! Hope it's nothing serious.

I was curious so I searched the abovementioned forum. I sure hope your little leo doesn't have this...

That is pretty much the exact description. Looks more like an infection than a prolap like someone comments.

Found another link for you, with pictures of common ailments. I'm done now - this last site is a tad upsetting. Good luck.

The gecko had a infection from a small scrape at the base of his tail, some skin was removed, and antibiotic were given. Never heard a reptile cry before, it was very distressing. But now things do not look good, and death is knocking on the door (or already entered).

Thanks for the help guys

These guys are great, do not see cats & dogs, just exotic pets and know their stuff. Have been bringing my guys there since '99.

I went into the calgary North clinic and had Dr. Weger. I would recommend him to anybody with exotic pets.
