Anyone have one before, I'm not 100% sure if I have one but it is pure hell. Have to go to dentist tomorrow to get an x-ray to see if it's a tooth causing the problem or all sinus. For anyone that has had one is it chronic or was there easy ways to remedy other then filling out forms for antibiotics every year?
Acute sinus infections are almost exclusively viral and don't need antibiotics, yet they are often still prescribed. Chronic sinusitis isn't necessarily infectious and should be investigated as sometimes autoimmune/anatomical issues are at fault. Sounds like you need some investigation....

Get a sinus flush. It is a squeeze bottle that you get from the pharmacy or the doctor. You put medicine in the bottle, fill it up with warm water and away you go. It works well.
It sucks, I know man. I feel your pain. Let me know how you are making out. It doesn't go away very fast I am afraid.

I had a sinus infection in my teens that was the be all end all. My teeth hurt, my eyeballs hurt, and my brain hurt, it actually affected my vision. So the doctor prescribed an industrial strength antihistamine.... great time to find out I was allergic to them. So basically all the membranes in my sinus cavities split, and I had blood clots the size of golf balls coming out of my nose. That was not fun, and I feel your pain.

No, but the vaccination made me sick a couple of days. One of my partners at work however, his wife nearly died. She was on life support for close to a month, and is still in the recovery phase. You might be mistaking it for that, as I was an advocate of the shot after seeing what that family had to endure.
Did you have your wisdom teeth out before? Just wondering, if you're going to the dentist to check if a tooth is causing it. I had a wisdom tooth removed the other month that had its roots poking up into my sinuses. That wasn't why I had it removed, but I was freaked there was going to be some sort of weird side-effect with a hole in my sinus, but it healed over without any real extra pain extra for a minor burning feeling for a bit.

I second this immensely. Although I never had an infection, I've had allergic rhinitus so my sinus is always blocked. Clears it out very well and is very soothing.
I've told my story before, but I was getting them constantly until I found out my house had toxic mold in it. If you have seen any signs of leaks or have a dirt basement or anything like that get your place tested.

All I could think when reading that is Arnie pulling out that tracking device in Total Recall :P.
I also had sinus infections but for some reason never felt them, the doctor only found out when he x-ray'd my head to look for a possible piece of metal in my eye and was shocked when I didn't have any symptoms. The second time I had a wisdom tooth infection that spread into my jaw before the dentist caught it in checkup x-ray. Antibiotics did not work so I figured what the hell get all of them pulled at once and a month later when pulling my top teeth the dentist exposed my sinus and I guess that one was infected too. It was kinda cool to turn my head upside down and have water in my mouth come out of my nose but thankfully it healed up and no more infections. *knock on wood*
My dad and brother almost go into fetal positions when their sini (sp?) get plugged up though.
Oh man, I had one this past summer, its one of the worst experiences of my life. It literally wasted about 3 weeks of summer to get over it.
Did yours start as just a regular cold that never went away? Thats what happened with me. It felt like a regular cold but it just would go away and after about 10 days i went to the clinic and they said they couldnt prescribe me anything because it was viral and would go away soon. WRONG. About 2 days after it felt like I had an ear ache in both ears my eyes felt like on the verge of popping out and had a constant migraine. Go back to the doctor about 5 days after all this, they take a better look this time (different doc) the guy laughs and says you have a sinus infection, I cant believe you werent prescribed on your first trip. Finally gave me medication for a 10 day use, tasted like metal even though they were pills (after taste) and I was good to go.
This was in August so great way to finish up summer
Yeah it's sucked and not easy to get some sleep. I haven't had a cold this year, it just happened and fast. I do have long rooted teeth so I'm making sure the teeth aren't the problem. Started off as a tooth/gum ache. Now the side of my face is swollen and tender and I think the sinus problem is showing up. Worried that perhaps roots are cutting in to sinuses or something. Had my wisdom teeth out years ago with no issues.
I am not having any issue with my nose stuffing up or anything though, does that possibly rule out sinus infection?
Trust the Neti pot, I had a nose injury that lead to a sinus infection that I could not get rid of. After three rounds of meds, three days of the Neti pot cleaned it up. Any signs of something coming back, I run the Neti pot and it is all good.

I am in the tail end of my first one. It lasted for only about a week and a half, but I too went to the dentist wondering why all the teeth in the top right of my mouth hurt like hell all day. I would wake up in the middle of the night with throbbing pain.
I just took decongestants and suffered through. It is not that bad now. Maybe I got a mild case, so I could only image what a major case would feel like. My teeth, chin, jaw, and eyeball all felt like hell though.
