Reports out of Miami say that former Conn Smythe winner Brad Richards is on his way to Florida.... More details to come.

The Panthers have acquired Brad Richards along prospects Brandon Pirri and Gleason Fournier for Martin St. Louis, and 2.25 million cap.

Even though I'm losing 4 OV on this, I'm getting a player who is significantly younger, and is going to be a cheaper resign than what St. Louis is getting.

Although the Pens like Richards and had originally planned to keep him, we felt like we needed an upgrade on the top line. St. Louis is older, but I don't see him slowing down so hopefully he can find chemistry with Mike Richards and Ovechkin for teh next couple of seasons.
