Also I was moderately surprised to get Richard Park. I figured he would get the most money out of the guys in this group.

wow...some of these contracts are pretty high, but for the most part they are 1 year deals so the teams are smart to use up cap and get players I guess. Better have a full roster then 10mill in unused cap sitting around.

We're reasonably pleased to at least get one more centreman on the squad with a decent FO. I at least wanted to have 4 centremen who could win a draw, and Armstrong helps our depth. I should have enough money to get one more bum now.

Rats! Icelanders come up empty handed on this batch. And I was worried about having no cap room left after this one. Most frustrating was Niedermayer who I traded for his rights only to let him slip away. Thought he would go for under 2 MIL. I only gave up a washed up minor leaguer who I was going to release anyway so not a big loss. Back to the drawing board... hopefully there is still something decent in the next batch. How many batches left until there is a free for all? Can't be too many 60+OV players left.

doing a quick recap of the players I bid for and what they ended up signing... I was outbid of one my top 3 choice guys by 0.2M. It's funny how close you come but yet there might have been three teams between you and the winner.

Like said above, contracts a wee bit on the high side but one year deals.... UFA should start becoming interesting as it may be turning out the vets like this can start cashing in at the end of their career jumping from team to team with one year deals
