Alffy to the City of Brotherly Love

Philadelphia - Flyers GM Joe Schum woke up again and made a trade. Instead of claiming players, Schum made a deal of principal as he gave up something to get another teams asset.

Coming to Philly is Daniel Alfredsson and some change to even up the cap difference. Going to Anaheim are young forwards Patrick Sharp and Ratislov Olesz also young prospect Cory Emmerton and a 3rd round pick in 2011.

"Adding Danny out team makes us quite dangerous upfront" Said Coach Martin.

Now with Doan, Selanne, Alffy, Roy, Kessel, Bergeron in their top 6, the group is as dangerous as anyones. With experience, leadership, scoring, passing, durability, the Flyers are looking for big return on their investment as they now have the biggest payroll in the CPHL.

This move was done simply because from our experience with the new sim young players tend to do just as well as older players. So since Sharp is only 3OV less, we figured the addition of Olesz, a 3rd and a Red Wing 2nd rd prospect Emmerton made this deal worth it. Brings some more youth and depth to our roster.

Alfie is a 1st line stud and likely will do well in the sim, but in the old sim veterans had an added value because of how much that sim hated young players (usually). Hopefully Sharp can find a contributing role for the Ducks, even with the new sim it all depends on some level of sim chemistry.
