Spider-Man...the Musical!?!
I think this is a sign of the Apocalypse.
The phrase "Broadway musical" doesn't seem grand enough to convey the size and scope of " Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark," which is due to open in New York at the Hilton Theater in January 2010.
Berger and Taymor have invented a new baddie for the show -- Swiss Miss, whose costume, designed by Oscar winner Eiko Ishioka ("Bram Stoker's Dracula"), consists of rotating knives and swirling corkscrews.

This is ######ed. Everyone would know that Spider-Man and Peter Parker are the same if they can both sing the same.

It looks like they're actually gonna do it.
Directed by The Lion King's Julie Taymor, Spider-Man will begin previews at Broadway's Hilton Theatre Jan. 16, 2010, with an official opening scheduled for Feb. 18, 2010. Casting will be announced shortly. Spider-Man, Turn Off The Dark features music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge and a book by Taymor and Glen Berger.

Show's off...thank God!!!
A desperate attempt was made last week to save "Spider-Man" by bringing in a couple of veteran producers. But they're too smart to get involved in what's turning out to be the biggest fiasco in Broadway history.

After they made the Jerry Springer show into a musical I'm not surprised by anything Broadway/the West End does anymore.
