my girlfriend has a sony hd camcorder, and is trying to burn some of her videos to dvd, to send to friends and family. the problem is that the m2ts file extension will not work on other pc's, well at least it doesn't work on mine, so i assume others as well.

anybody know of a freeware program that can convert m2ts to avi, wmv or mpeg? she has tried some trial version of software, but they impose a watermark over the video.

It is supposed to be able to work, but a quick search on Google said that some people have had problems in the past. But, its the only free program that I know of that has converted everything I wanted it to convert.
