do you guys think McNabb will still be with the Eagles next year. I hope not, in 4 straight years of taking your team to the conference and not winning a super bowl is pretty bad. McNabb just isn't clutch. QB's like him and Manning are the next Marinos all the skill and all the stats and records to beat the world but will never win the big one. Right now I predict that McNabb and Manning both will never win a super bowl.

If I was a Philly fan you bet I'd be calling for McNabb's head. They had NO hurry up offense. ZERO. It looked like they just quit when it was 10-0 till McNabb lobbed that pass to make it 24-21.
The game was over when the Pats walked on them to begin the 2nd half.

Anyone notice the pass up the middle with 0:17 left and no more time outs. Called by an "Prime" quarterback? Big Ben would have done better in the big game than Dono did. Choke artist is a fair assesment!

Yeah. I like McNabb but he really didn't play well today. Poor clock management, poor decision making and 9 or 10 poorly thrown balls. Frankly the rest of the team played pretty good but he let them down.
The challenge is that who else is out there that is better?
Drew Brees? Probably will be franchised and stay in San Diego
Who else is there? Jeff Garcia is available but is he better? ROFL! I just realized what an absurd suggestion that is with TO in Philly. Pardon moi.
Not sure what other QBs are available right now but its slim pickin's really. McNabb is probably their best option.

Well theres 4 possibilities
1) Philly Trades McNabb and 1st for Top 5 1'st rounder and Draft QB
2) Draft a QB with your own draft pick.
3) Trade McNabb straight up for another QB
4) Sign a Free Agent.

They signed him to a HUGE contract few years ago. He will be back even though the fans will be calling for his head.

Jiri that leaves Phillip Rivers out of the equation, who was the 2nd QB picked in the draft (Ahead of Ben and Behind Manning), who I've watched play and he definately is going to be something special.
I don't think SD can afford to pay Brees with the cash they gave Rivers, they have to think about getting rid of one.
Rivers has got to play next year to continue his development.

The great ones step up in the big game & McNabb did none of that today. He had a couple of flukey catches by his receivers but his passes were high the whole game. His use of the clock in the final minute was horrendous & he killed his team with ill timed picks in scoring situations.
Why was he rolling left & right when the Pats came after him on the blitz?? He'd roll right to where the pressure was coming from & was either getting sacked or hurying his throws. Where were the quick 3 step drops, screens & play action needed to counteract the Pats blitz?? For that, I'll hang it on Andy Reid for having bad offensive schemes against New England.
The Pats were ripe for the picking today & had McNabb had a decent day the Eagles might've won. He didn't. They lost. End of story.

I don't think there's anyway that Philly can trade him, his contract would force teams to gut themselves to get him, so its likely that the Eagle's are stuck with him.

I thought the same thing earlier in this season but upon hearing more about, it seems that the Chargers have a TON of cap room and will likely start the season with both Brees and Rivers. If Brees plays well next season and shows he can be consistent than I expect they will trade Rivers. But I don't think that will happen in the off-season, more likely next off-season.

I thought they were tight on cap room, but they should be getting rid of someone anyways. I mean with how well they did this year, trading one of the 2 QBs could net them a very good return, maybe fill up that cap room or trade up in the draft.
Either way, they are in quite an envable position.

Yeah. No question. It will be interesting to see how they handle it. This is just the type of situation that the Bolts typically manage to screw up.
I think we could see another one of those off-seasons where one QB moving will trigger a dominoe affect. Where does Garcia go? Warner? Brees/Rivers? McNabb possibly moving? Lots of potential QB shake ups. Aaron Brooks is another guy that I think could be in a new jersey. Saints have to do something...whatever is down there right now ain't working.

Jesse Palmer is also an FA, I wouldn't rule him out. Boy would he look good up in the CFL .

Forgot about him. He was buried in the Giants depth chart right. Too bad - I think he has some promise. He'd be a good guy for a team to bring in as a back up I think.
NYG totally messed up their QB situation last season. They were in the playoff hunt and then they decide to bench Warrener and start Manning. They won like 1 game the rest of the year while hurting the kids' confidence. Horrible. Warrener hadn't played great but he had played well enough to get them some wins and keep them in contention. Some please explain to me what NYG were thinking?!?!?

I don't think there's anything wrong with McNabb at all. I think what's wrong with him and Philly is that they ran up agianst the New England Patriots and the best coach in the NFL.
He'll do ok if he can learn and grow from the experiences. I'd like to see him run more adding that as a threat, not just evade the sack with running.

At about the 7 minute mark of the game there was absolutely no hussle in him or the team. He completely blew his chances by seemingly quitting.
Palmer also said in an interview he wants to start, not sure who is going to give him that chance, he might just have to go the CFL route if he ever wants a job.

I disagree. Yes the Pats are that darn good, but...McNabb repeatedly missed open men. In the Superbowl those are plays that you MUST make to win. That's the difference between Brady and McNabb. Brady makes the big plays - McNabb does not. McNabb has a habit of overthrowing his receivers and today it cost them an NFL championship.

I thought Bree's was a free agent and due for a massive raise, the scuttlebut is that they are going to let him go and start Rivers next year

There are a lot of crappy QB's (or unproven) in the NFL. McNabb is not one of them.
I'm very glad the Denver Broncos didn't give up on John Elway after he laid eggs in Super Bowls early in his career.
Could they improve at the position? I doubt it.

So in the last 5 years Tom Brady has won 3 Superbowls, Trent Dilfer has won one, and Brad Johnson has one one. Donovan McNabb has had his team in 4 straight NFC Championship games and one Superbowl, and everyone is chastizing him for the game he played today....Sure he could have been better, but show me how he hasn't been the second best QB in Football behind Brady over the past 5 seasons. Unless the Eageles can get Tom Brady, than how do they improve at that position?? Really I'll give Trent Greene anyday of the week to bring in McNabb. Theres also 28 other NFL teams that would also gladly make that trade.
