The Ongoing Airdrie Thread…
So since theres a thread about everything else I figured that I might start one for Airdrie residents (Airdronians?). I'm sure non residents are gonna talk crap like normal but on well. Share info if you have it. Ask a question… whatever.
Does anyone know what the new stores are that are going in north of London Drugs?

I would rather live in Airdrie than Leduc, since Airdrie is:
A) closer to Calgary
B) far away from Edmonton

Can we have one for every neighborhood too??!? Can we? Can we?

Didn't we have a thread for us latte-sipping neighbourhoods at one time?

I thought that was thinly veiled as a Peace Bridge thread?
Plus if you posted it, there would be content. Renders, crane counts, area of interest maps... as much as the tubes can handle.

So I asked a question… figured that there might be enough poster on this board from Airdrie to justify a thread, since no other threads really fit.
So hulk do you have anything to add? Or are you just here to be a dick?

Only took me 10 minutes to read the entire thread. From start to the core.

I'm just here to be a dick. I thought I made that clear years ago. It allows me to pretend to be a good guy in real life by letting my dickness flap in here.
If you had something interesting to post about Airdrie, you could make a thread and post it. Like everyone on here does.

Michaels & Petland.
Question: Why do most people in Airdrie seem to be illiterate?

They have a Yum Yum Chicken in Airdrie. Best fried chicken in town as far as I'm concerned.

True story: I once had an older brother that lived in Calgary. I would see him a few times a week, went to the bars with him, went hiking and to restaurants with him. You know, normal brother stuff. Then one day he moved to Airdrie. Now he has gone missing. I don't know if he exists anymore. Considering Airdrie is in fact only 20 minutes from anywhere in Calgary, yet he's still nowhere to be seen, I assume that Airdrie must have either swallowed him alive or he might be taken hostage by militant Airdonian separatists.
Either way, Airdrie is no good and people go missing there.

Thanks. I'm not sure.
Here's a good question, what's everyone's problem with Airdrie? I know there was the whole "20 minutes to everywhere" joke, but I don't get it, you don't want to live here, great, don't. You think your great for living in the inner city, sweet, heres a hero cookie.
What's your issue with the city?

Airdrie is significant to me, only because it is the first time I ever ate at a Mary Browns.

Years ago I went to "Our Flames" in Airdrie, it was a fundraiser for a former flight instructor of mine that had cancer in his brain.
I still think of that day, him there in the best spirits possible, but nothing like the man I knew behind the controls of an aircraft, and his wife and young child there with him.
He passed away shortly afterwards.
He went from a flight instructor flying little Cessna's to hired by Suncor flying their Citation Jet, a jump in the industry that was amazingly rare. Then just a few months later to see him cut down like that by cancer was horrible.
It's probably one of the most depressing memories I have.
