This is kind of in response to the terrible tragedy that befell Bertuzied.

I admit it. I have driven drunk. Its been a few years and I don't do it any more (marriage probably has a lot to do with that.... tended to go to the bars way more when I was single).

I tend to only have a couple when i know i have to drive now

well define drunk right? but after having a few drinks? yep, a twice unfortunately, not tipsy, but after a rum and coke or two, not very far

I drove drunk in highschool..........
Since then I have not driven while "drunk"........maybe buzzed a little though.

I bet no one on CP will admit that they still drive drunk/over the limit. Even though the stat that I heard is that 1 in 1300 people that are over the limit actually get caught. And we see a large number of people getting caught nowadays

Yep. A couple of times I was probably very lucky I didn't kill myself or someone else. Those days are long gone, and since I have been drunk probably twice in the last 15 years or so I think it's safe to say I no longer drive drunk. Ever.

Unfortunately yes. I have recently made a vow never to get behind a wheel after having any booze at all. Just not worth the consequences.

I think that if you're "buzzed" you are probably drunk.

As for what is drunk.... I figure that if you were driving along after drinking and you get pulled over in a check stop and you're getting nervous before talking to the cop, you are probably drunk.... or close to it..... or else you wouldn't be nervous.

When I've been flat out drunk, never! Whenever I drink, I wait for about 1 - 2 hours before I even think about getting into my car. By then the effects (That I feel) are minimal.

Can't say that I have, the most I've ever had when I've had to drive is 3-4 beers over 2-3 hours. Just simply not worth the risk. It helps that I didn't drive when I was a teenager.

I've been through a checkstop after having two beers in the last 4ish hours (ie: completely fine to drive), and I was still nervous as frack. All a cop has to do is smell alcohal on your breath and they can give you a 24 hour suspension based on suspicion.....and a 24 hour suspension stays on your record.
