Dion Phaneuf – 69OV – 3 year deal paying him 6.5 mill per year
With a rating of 69OV we had to lock him up for the next 3 seasons. We feel that he is going to bounce back in a big way this year in the NHL which could see his overall rating jump up 2-3 points come next summer. By the time the 3rd year rolls around this contract could look like great value.
Rene Bourque – 64OV – 3 year deal paying him 3.25 mill per year
Bourque at 64OV and 27 years old was a tough decision. Do we sign him 1 year and then give him a new 3 year deal next summer, or do we bank on the fact that we think his OV will jump a bunch and that at 3.25 he could look like a steal 1 year from now? Well, we really feel Bourque will repeat his season from last year and if he can stay healthy we would expect his OV to jump a few points.
Martin Havlat – 70OV – 3 year deal paying him 7 mill per year
Havlat, being 28 years old, we felt we had to give him a 3 year deal. He has been injuried more often then not, this is likely our riskiest deal but hopefully he can find a way to be healthy with Minnesota in the NHL.
Kyle Okposo – 62OV – 3 year deal paying him 2.1 mill per year
We are ecstatic to get Okposo locked up in a new 3 year deal. We feel he is on the verge of breaking out in the NHL and hope that this contract looks like an absolute steal in years 2 and 3.
Jay Bouwmeester – 71OV – 1 year deal paying him 6.5 mill per year
The Ducks love Jay Bouwmeester. It was a heavy debate about whether to give this 25 year old a 3 year deal or a 1 year. After discussing options the Ducks settled on a 1 year deal. It reduces his price by 1 million and we can still sign him to a 1 year deal next summer at a similar price to a 3 year deal right now (assuming he bumped up in ratings). Since he is so young we don't have to worry about losing his rights for a few more years!

Darren Helm – 53OV - 3 year deal paying him 825k
Helm showed what he could do in the playoffs. This is a cheap contract, nothing special about it but we are glad to have him locked in for another 3 years.
Lukas Krajicek – 60OV – 2 year deal paying him 1.3 mill per year
Krajicek is a good #6/7 defensive option. We'll give him 2 years and then re-evaluate the situation at that point.
Ducks also re-signed a few AHL bums to 1 or 2 year deals that really aren't worth mentioning. Heck even Krajicek is fairly useless, hence the no picture.
