Ah Dell's Days of Deals ... almost makes the firestorm of e-newsletters they send out worth it.

Eeew gross, they changed the site to a Flash interface.
Makes the whole thing way slower and way more irritating to actually use.
Just say no to flash.

I find I'm becoming far less tolerant of flash with each day that passes. Not to mention with the number of iphones out there, by simply using flash you are breaking the web experience for the majority of your mobile users. This morning I wanted to browse and possibly buy something from the train. Can't do it though.

I'm still irritated by the Prototype game website ( http://www.prototypegame.com).
Mess up their poorly designed web filter and you're not allowed into the site at all until you restart and clear your browser cache.
The publisher's site ( http://www.activision.com) is also a great example of how to piss off your site visitors.
If text content is being served up inside a flash object, I leave the site, spit on it and never return. I refuse to tolerate piss poor web pages.
All that ranted and said, Dell at least hasn't converted the product pages to flash. Just their "Days of Deal's" page. Probably at the behest of some "Web Marketing" company that only employs Flash "developers".

Something I noticed with the monitor- no DVI.
Might not matter now, but if you are just a few dozen cans away from getting that new video card..........

For me a VGA connection on an LCD gives a noticeably poorer picture.

What monitor are you talking about? Both the 23 inchers they have on sale today are DVI or HDMI equipped. These are 1080p monitors.
DVI is dying a slow death anyway. DVI is all being replaced by HDMI. Many high end videocards are starting to come in only HDMI equipped flavors too.

It was part of yesterdays deal Hack&Lube. That monitor up today is a good deal and a lot more current.

They were speaking about YESTERDAYS deals.
Today's monitors appear to be much nicer.

The GPS looked like a good deal, but they are sold out.
I'm a bit of a noob for these GPS things, do you have to subscribe to a monthly service with these?

Just remember, anything that is a smoking deal will be gone by 8am our time via the RFD effect.

In general no. There are some extra services you can sometimes get, like traffic for example, but when it comes to GPS.. the signals are in the air, you just have to receive them and know what to do with the data.

Perhaps they got the message. I notice a link to a non-flash page now exists.
